Anxiety affects us all in different ways. It can stem from various factors such as hormonal changes, chronic medical conditions, major life changes, and lifestyle habits. At Solace and Light Therapy, we will develop a better understanding of how anxiety shows up for you. We will also unpack how anxiety drives your behaviors and relationships. We will then cultivate ways to develop healthier coping strategies and tailor treatment interventions to your personal experiences and needs. We will also collaborate with medical professionals as needed to rule out possible medical conditions that may contribute to anxiety to ensure comprehensive care.

Everyone reacts to trauma differently. It can affect our emotions, our behaviors, and the ways how we perceive and interact with the world. Trauma can lead to persistent worry, feeling of shame, or even detachment from our emotions. Research has also shown that traumatic events can impact our brain and our mind. Our body can store up memories from past traumatic events, which lead to somatic symptoms such as digestive issues, muscle tension, and accelerated heart rate. Trauma can also lead to insomnia and nights.

Through the work of therapy, it is my hope that we can release trauma that has been held in your body throughout the years so you can experience connection with yourself and others. We will cultivate healthier ways to process trauma, develop healthier coping strategies, and rebuild a sense of trust and safety with yourself and with others.

Treatment Approach

Once we develop a treatment plan, we will cultivate tools and implement interventions to help you reclaim messages about your pain. We will also introduce new ways to practice self-care and coping strategies to manage your symptoms.

We will practice and integrate what you have learned in therapy, in different settings and situations from your everyday life until these tools and skill sets become automatic and more natural.

We will out your cycle of underlying emotions, coping mechanisms, and impact on yourself and relationships.

We will then create a comprehensive treatment plan that may include approaches such as ACT or EFIT, lifestyle changes, and support systems. We will collaborate together to set realistic goals and monitor progress.

Step 1: Recognize the Symptoms & Understand the Underlying Causes

Step 2: Assess the Impact & Develop a Treatment Plan

In our time together, we want to evaluate how different stressors affects your daily life, relationships, work, and overall well-being. By gaining a fuller picture, we can tailor the treatment approach to the your specific needs.

Step 4: Practice

Step 3: Introduce New Coping Strategies
